Clearing Browser Cache

If you experience any problems listed below, you may need to clear your browser cache.

  1. Refdesk does not fully load.
  2. Refdesk takes longer than usual to load.
  3. Pop-ads still appear despite being ended on Refdesk.
  4. You are unable to access Ad-free Refdesk.
  5. Any unusual problem with Refdesk.

If you are not using Internet Explorer, please follow your browser's specific instructions for clearing your browser cache.

If you use Internet Explorer, follow the steps below. Clearing your browser cache is a safe operation; none of your personal data will be lost. However, depending on the number of files in your cache, this operation may take a few minutes.

Note: Make sure that you only have one browser window open when attempting these steps.

  1. From your browser's Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Click on the General tab.
  3. Click on the Delete Files button.
  4. Check the box for "Delete all offline content."
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click on the Settings button and make sure that "Check for newer versions of stored pages:" is set to Automatically.
